RSS Feeds, Google Reader and Me...

Whew! I signed up with Google Reader, found lots of cool library related sites and subscribed and then linked (sent?) them to the reading list in my blog (it is in the profile). Now I have to figure out how to add the widget that shows them on the main page of the blog. Tomorrow.

I don't mind going to lots of different blogs everyday, so I am not sure if I will use Google Reader that much, personally. I guess it is a great way to share info. It is amazing all the different ways info is linked now. So easy to share via Facebook, Delicious, My Space, Blogs, etc. Will have to give potential uses/applications more thought and ask some questions in class. I suspect I am just scratching the surface. It is cool to figure it out though. I am so focused on mastering the technical aspects that it is hard to transition to thinking big about the potential. It is similar to my students who are so focused on decoding, comprehension and vocabulary that they miss both nuances/subtleties and the big picture. I am trying to be as patient with myself as I am with them.

Working on my web portal. I feel like Sisyphus pushing that rock up the hill over and over.

Bought a camera today to use for the next assignment!
