- Helped students and teachers find books for cultural fair booths
One group was presenting on Buddhism. I helped them find the usual nonfiction titles that explain the topic but I also helped them find some less typical things. We found Buddha In Your Backpack, a book on Buddhism for teens. I also suggested a book on the Dalai Lama. We found a book of Zen koans. We explored a couple of books on meditation but rejected them as they were not directly related to the topic of Buddhism.
- Weeded Fiction A-F in preparation for a big shipment of fiction books; looking for duplicates, worn/damaged books
- Started "reading" the shelves in the 900s
- Did some research on how other libraries train/manage service workers
- Observed/talked to service workers in anticipation of possible project
